Terms and Conditions
1. Membership
Membership of the Wine Guild of Victoria is open to individuals over the age of 18 who share an interest in wine culture. By joining, members agree to support the Guild's objectives and abide by these Terms and Conditions. The Guild reserves the right to refuse membership or terminate membership for conduct deemed inconsistent with our values or the law.
2. Events & Tastings
The Guild hosts various events, including tastings, winemaker dinners, days trips and interstate tours. All attendees must be at least 18 years of age. Proof of age may be required upon entry. The Guild encourages the responsible enjoyment of wine and reserves the right to refuse service to any person who appears intoxicated.
3. Payments & Subscriptions
All membership fees and event tickets are quoted in Australian Dollars (AUD). Subscriptions are due annually and must be paid to maintain active membership status. Failure to pay within thirty days of the renewal notice may result in lapsing of membership benefits.
4. Cancellations & Refunds
Refunds for events - see the Refund Policy. In the case of exceptional circumstances, members may apply for a credit toward a future event. Membership fees are non-refundable once the term has commenced.
5. Liability
The Wine Guild of Victoria and its committee members shall not be held liable for any loss, damage, or injury sustained by members or guests during Guild events or tours, except where specifically required by law. Members participate in all activities at their own risk.
6. Responsible Service of Alcohol
The Guild strictly adheres to the Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) guidelines. We reserve the right to stop serving alcohol to any individual and to require any attendee to leave an event if their behavior is disruptive or unsafe due to alcohol consumption. Members are expected to arrange safe transport following events.
